My Favourite Metaphor

One of the greatest metaphors in music, every written, ever sung. To understand the meaning of this song, one must appreciate the language to begin with, but also must have lived, seen, and known this ‘Woman’ at her peak. Who she is today is not who she was. You see broken tears, sadness, chaos and destruction.

I knew her when she stood ground, shook a nation, she was the centre of attention, powerful and so damn beautiful. She holds memories, experiences, and till this day she draws me to the most grand connection that’s I’ve ever had.

Play. Pause. Translate. Play. Pause. Repeat..
Play. Pause. Translate. Play. Pause. Repeat..
Play. Pause. Translate. Play. Pause. Repeat..

There’s more talk about the one that I want

What’s her age? What’s her name? What’s secret? What does she look like ? White or tanned? Eyes are prettier you pretty eyes.

Something Something, Hold on and get ready

Oh women are jealous, they are jealous, their jealousy feels like the stabbing of a sword

She’s prettier than the prettiest girl, better looking than you and I, she’s slimmer than any body, she’s closer than my heart is to me

She’s prettier than Kareem’s hair, or Kathem in his best tunes

They said you spend your nights with her? Of course, of course

They said you live with her? Of course, of course

Her eyes are my home, my bed, and my pillow. She wipes away my life worries when her fingers touch my head

Protect me you prettiest lady, even when she’s quiet my heart hears her

Baghdad

Speaks: God has never created anyone like you in this entire world..

Set fire to the rain

Did you know that ‘Pluviophile’ (n) is a lover of rain; someone who finds joy and peace of mind during rainy days.

Christy Anne Martin wrote ‘She’s in the clouds, heavy and dark, waiting to fall like rain’.

Petrichor (n) is defined as the scent of rain on dry earth.

Truth- you can’t have a rainbow without rain.

Spoken like a true man, Bob Marley said “Some people feel the rain, others just get wet”.

I LOVE the sound of rain.

Storms don’t last forever.

“I promise these storms are only trying to wash you clean” Jessica Kateoff

Pyjamas all day.

Brontide is the low rumble of a distant thunder.

The smell of rain.

Every raindrop has a different diameter.

Fun fact – Umbrellas were originally designed to protect people from the sun.

Tea, Tea, Tea, Tea, Coffee & socks.

For now, Adele, set fire to the rain…
