Sacrifice, Miracle, Magic.

They say, you never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have left- perhaps this is true, it’s a pending notion. On a special day like Good Friday it’s the elements of sacrifice that are heightened.

The term is defined as an offering for a higher purpose. Its magnitude is far deeper than the eye meets, it varies from person to person, and it’s grant. Represented as the purest and most selfless way to love something or someone, I question whether you have ever had to make a sacrifice for a purpose based on a circumstance? If so, hold that thought.

Easter means magic and miracle. It exemplifies elements of love, sacrifice, suffering, uncertainty, and questions justice. It ties in with patience, with comprehending what cannot be understood; it juggles the concept of faith, how and why?

But to make it all fit isn’t often the case. No love comes without an expense, whether it’s yourself, a loved one, your family, your friendship, your career or anything that might be affected. In most cases one or more of these elements will suffer for the greater good of sacrifice.

It’s not always fair, no. But if we can count on something in this season it’s the presence of faith because “To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see” Hebrews 11:1-2.

Happy Easter!
